Hawaii 2013

In early January, the family took a trip out to Maui and Kauai with Oma and Opa. The trip was absolutely amazing and the girls had so much fun. Not only was there beaches, pools, really fantastic weather, there was Oma and Opa there to play with every single day. Doesn’t get better than that!!!

Halloween 2012

I have to say…picture taking and blogging have really slowed down. I wanted to blog before Halloween but realized we hadn’t taken any pictures. And really, you only want to see pictures…

Alyssa turned 6. You’d think we would have a ton of pictures from Alyssa’s birthday party. Unfortunately Alyssa got really sick. What is . . . → Read More: Halloween 2012

Summer 2012

I cannot believe I haven’t posted anything since May, and it is September already. Talk about slacking!!! But to be honest, we haven’t been taking a ton of photo’s. This summer really has been fun with swimming lessons, princess camp and Alyssa did a sports camp. The girls loved all the activities.

Snow Day and Mothers Day Tea

Last weekend the girls woke up to snow. Not just a little bit of snow, but a lot of snow!

It was so typical of my reaction…”Snow, I can’t believe it snowed. Man that sucks!”. Of course kids being kids have such a better outlook on life. Their thought: “Snow…best day ever!!!”.

Trip to France – Final Chapter

Luckily for us, we got to go to the Aix en Provence Carnaval. It was spectacular, and very hard to describe. Basically it was a parade where participants were in a big confetti and silly string fight with the audience. Was the best parade I have ever been to.

Here is what the street looked . . . → Read More: Trip to France – Final Chapter

Trip to France – Part Two

Living in Aix

Denise let me know I need to correct my last post. The Heuver’s were not waiting at the bus with baguette’s, they were there with Pain Au Chocolat! Why this is important is that on that first day, our girls refused to eat it. Very weird, what child refuses to each chocolat?!?! . . . → Read More: Trip to France – Part Two

Trip to France – Part One

2012-04-07 11.39.22

The one thing about the trip to France that I had the biggest concerns was how the girls would do on a 9 hour flight, as well as how they would be able to deal with the 8 hour time change. We left Calgary around 3:30 pm and arrived 9 hours later in Amsterdam, had . . . → Read More: Trip to France – Part One

Nuevo Vallarta – Jan 2012

The girls headed down to Nuevo Vallarta in January for a Renema Family trip. Oma and Opa, Auntie Dianne and Uncle Don, Courtney and Mark were all there and it ended up being one fabulous trip. About 3 days into the trip I asked the girls what they liked better, Disneyworld or Mexico. Both . . . → Read More: Nuevo Vallarta – Jan 2012

Ballet Show – December 2011

The girls have both been in Ballet this year for the first time. Just the way the class times worked out, they are in different schools but luckily both are basically a few blocks from our house. Alyssa loves going to Ballet although she rarely tells us anything about the class or shows us anything . . . → Read More: Ballet Show – December 2011
